US 4 IDF
Help us reach our $2,000,000 goal for 2025
Why We Founded
Since October 7th, the IDF has been engaged in one of the most justified wars in modern history, fighting on multiple fronts to protect Israel from enemies determined to destroy the nation.
US 4 IDF was founded by Avi Azour to address the critical logistical, physical, and emotional challenges faced by IDF soldiers and their families. Avi, a former IDF Lieutenant with over five years of combat experience, understands firsthand the realities of war and the essential support soldiers need to thrive both on and off the battlefield.
With the steadfast support of Peter May, President and Founding Partner of Trian Partners and Matthew Peltz, Co-Chief Investment Officer at Trian Partners and a devoted advocate for Israel’s safety. US 4 IDF is dedicated to providing tangible assistance to IDF soldiers. This includes sending personalized care packages, supplying essential battlefield equipment, and raising funds to support elite units like Duvdevan.
This year, US 4 IDF has set a goal to raise $2,000,000 to provide these critical resources. The organization relies on the generosity of donors and a network of dedicated volunteers to make this mission possible.
Through its efforts, US 4 IDF demonstrates unwavering appreciation and care for the soldiers risking their lives for Israel’s security and the safety of the Jewish diaspora.

Facing the Facts
The IDF faces significant challenges that underscore the importance of non-profit support for its soldiers. Approximately 10-20% of IDF soldiers experience PTSD or other mental health challenges due to the high-stress nature of military service. Non-profits play a crucial role in providing mental health resources, aiding soldiers in transitioning back to civilian life. Additionally, nearly 1 in 5 combat soldiers sustains a physical injury during service, ranging from minor wounds to life-altering disabilities. By funding advanced medical care and rehabilitation, non-profits help ensure these soldiers recover and reintegrate successfully. Furthermore, the IDF trains over 50,000 new leaders annually, emphasizing the need for programs that develop resilient and innovative individuals who contribute both on and off the battlefield.
Despite these efforts, sobering statistics reveal the toll of military service on IDF personnel. An average of 30-40 soldiers die by suicide each year, highlighting the urgent need for mental health support and destigmatization. Since Israel’s establishment, over 25,000 soldiers have lost their lives in defense of the country, each loss a tragedy impacting families and communities. Additionally, about 35% of IDF veterans face unemployment or underemployment within their first year of civilian life, pointing to the critical need for career training and financial support programs. These challenges demonstrate why non-profit contributions are vital in addressing the physical, mental, and economic struggles faced by IDF soldiers and veterans.
